LIHEAP
Georgia's LIHEAP aids low-income households with energy bills, reducing health and safety risks like illness, fire, or disconnection. Application starts on the 1st workday of Dec. for those over 65, and on the 1st workday of Jan. for others. Apply Online >

Eligibility Criteria

You can qualify for a home energy benefits if your overall household earnings fall within 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines or you qualify through specific government programs, refer to the list for eligibility criteria and income thresholds.

    • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP/Food Stamps/Food Assistance)
    • Medicaid / Medi-Cal
    • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
    • Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA) or Section 8
